Major Moscow's Strikes Disrupt Electricity Throughout Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have faced increased attacks in the past few days

Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have resulted in electricity outages in large parts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

A number of civilians were wounded while local people in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and dealt with disruption to water systems, according to city officials.

Simultaneously, a young boy was lost their life in a separate assault in the southeastern region in the southern area, based on information from regional authorities.

Moscow has increased strikes on electrical systems over recent weeks, while the country's government has demanded "substantial measures" from allies to exert influence on Moscow.

"What's needed is not window dressing but strong steps - from the America, European nations and the major economies - in supplying air defence systems and enforcing restrictions," was stated in a social media post.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and several dozen projectiles targeted the country's power systems, describing such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were working to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles hit electrical systems and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Multiple people injured in the assaults on the city have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by local officials.

Regional authorities said the urban area came under heavy assaults during nighttime hours. A young boy was killed and several individuals were hurt.

The assaults come after nights of air raids in the area, parts of which are occupied by invading troops.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are tougher to spot.

Authorities told the media that Moscow was intentionally trying to demolish the national power system, with assaults already impacting gas facilities.

He said technical personnel and government agencies were bracing for more assaults.
